“For the poor shall never cease out of the land. Therefore I command thee, saying: 'Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to the needy in thy hand.' ”
– Deuteronomy 15:11 Each year, members of the congregation reach out into our community prior to the Thanksgiving holiday to collect food donations for distribution to those in need. The process provides an opportunity for us to share the Gospel with our friends, family and neighbors. This year, we collected about 94 bags of food and delivered them to the Madison Ave. Crossroads Community Ministries for distribution!

Vacation Bible School occurs at PVURC every July for one week. Church members organize and run the program to help bring God’s Word to the children of our local communities.
Our 2025 VBS program took place this summer from July 7 to July 11. By God's grace, it was a wonderful experience for all the children who spent the week at Wonder Junction learning about all the wonders of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and how to live for His glory every day!
