God has abundantly provided us with beautiful grounds and well-equipped facilities that make PVURC a wonderful place to worship and fellowship. We respond in gratitude by working hard to ensure smooth operations of the church on a daily basis. No matter whether you’re a member or a regular visitor, there are many different ways to serve God and His people at PVURC. The following committees are in place to serve different needs of the church, and the majority of them are open to both members and non-member so all are welcome to join!
Multimedia
The Multimedia Committee ensures that each worship service is live-streamed to our YouTube channel. On a rotating basis, members of the committee provide audio, video and presentations for each Sunday Worship, special services & events.
Music
The Music Committee performs music during worship services. This primarily involves instrumental accompaniment for the singing of worship hymns. To highlight special occasions, committee members also deliver special vocal and/or instrumental performances from time to time.
Security
The Security Committee ensures the security and safety of all PVURC grounds and facilities. The work involves securing access points to PVURC facilities via camera surveillance as well as maintaining availability of first aid resources.
Website
The Website Committee manages the digital gateway to our church by presenting our beliefs/values as well as events and activities in a vibrant, authentic manner to those seeking to learn more about us. The work also entails adopting the best website tools to match our needs.
Fellowship
The Fellowship Committee plans and hosts various opportunities for fellowship. These events range from post-worship coffee fellowship to luncheons and dinners for special occasions throughout the year, such as holidays and seasonal gatherings.
Education
The Education Committee promotes the continued nurturing of God’s people through Christian education. This entails the supervision of Sunday School programs, promotion of adult Bible Study groups, as well as oversight of the church library and the historical archives of our church.
Missions
The Missions Committee identifies missionaries affiliated with URCNA or partner organizations that PVURC may choose to support. The committee maintains regular contact with the missionaries to ensure that we provide the prayer support they need.
Facilities
The Facilities Committee provides on-going maintenance for all PVURC facilities and grounds, including the main church building, the parsonage, and surrounding grounds. The work required spans from plumbing and electrical repairs to landscaping and snow removal.
